Organic Vegetables, Salads and Herbs

Over 60 types

From Field to Customer in 24 hours *

       Freshness:
Harvested fresh to order every morning and delivered to you within 24 hours*

Mange tout peas                                     Baby Beetroot                                                Fennel

When in season, leaf crops such as Lettuce, Salad Leaves, Spinach, Chards, Kale and the Herbs are are picked  first thing in the morning, this is followed by Tomatoes, Peppers and Aubergines, and then the Peas and Beans. Later in the day the Root, Squash and other  crops will be harvested. We have found the correct timing of harvesting  has proved vital in optimising the quality of the crops reaching the customer.

After picking the crops, our harvesting team then clean, trim, pack and load the vans so that the vegetables arrive at our Farmers Market stalls, the vegetable boxes or the farm shop in the freshest condition possible, mostly within 24 hours of being picked. *

Tunnel crops including sugar snap peas                            Autum sown Garlic                                           Cos Lettuce

Quality

The vegetable varieties we use are selected for taste rather than yield, this means we sometimes use older varieties that can be harder to grow and less productive but do have an excellent taste.

They are grown in what we believe are some of the best conditions possible

Our soils have been Organic/Bio-Dynamic for  up to five decades. The natural fertility of our part of the valley is maintained and then improved by the careful use of crop rotation, home made composts and the Bio-Dynamic herbal sprays

We Feel this provides the best possible conditions for the crops we produce, something, we hope you will agree, that is then reflected in the taste and quality of the foods we produce
                                                                                                                                                                      Potatoes

We do use machinary!

* Whilst every effort is made to reduce the time between harvest and point of sale, it is impossible to guarantee the 24 hour period in every situation.
